As a UniFi Network Technician, you will be at the forefront of delivering enterprise-grade networking solutions to our diverse client base. You'll work with cutting-edge Ubiquiti UniFi equipment to design, install, configure, and maintain high-performance network infrastructures.

Your responsibilities will include:

Site Assessment & Planning: Conduct thorough site surveys to assess client needs, evaluate existing infrastructure, and develop comprehensive network deployment plans. You'll create detailed documentation including network diagrams, equipment lists, and installation timelines.

Installation & Configuration: Deploy UniFi networking equipment including UniFi Dream Machines, switches, access points, and security gateways. Configure VLANs, firewall rules, wireless networks, and guest portals according to client specifications and industry best practices.

Network Optimization: Analyze network performance using UniFi's analytics tools, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to maximize throughput and reliability. Fine-tune wireless coverage, channel selection, and transmit power for optimal performance.

Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and security concerns. Provide clear communication to clients about issues and resolutions.

Client Training: Educate clients on using the UniFi Network Controller, basic troubleshooting procedures, and best practices for maintaining their network infrastructure.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all installations, configurations, and support interactions. Create client-facing documentation for network management and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi networking products including access points, switches, and security gateways
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and subnetting
  • Familiarity with the UniFi Network Controller and its configuration options
  • Ability to read and create network diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills for client interactions
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work on ladders and in various physical environments
  • UI certifications preferred but not required
